Ceramic Products Most Popular in Canton Fair

A ceramics production enterprises participating in the exhibition played music on the ceramics, which attracted many merchants. The 109th Canton Fair was closed on April 27. As of April 26, the number of purchasers amounted to 76700, serving as an increasing of 1.6% by comparing with that in the 108th Canton Fair. However, the number of purchasers from Japan was reduced by 7.86%.
A visit of the exhibition halls on April 27 revealed that most of the exhibiting companies were satisfied with the achievement made in Canton Fair Phase II. The products on exhibition in that Phase were mainly gifts and toys. Transactions on ceramics transaction were the most active. As of the statistics released by the Chamber of Light Industry, on April 25, the total contract amount of domestic ceramics and home furnishings reached USD 540 million and 287 million respectively, an increase of 32.05% and 18.61% respectively over the same period of the 108th Canton Fair. However, the contract amount of other products was reduced to a certain extent.
As of April 25 the light industrial products, the amount of contracts signed with merchants from Europe, America, Brazil, Japan and Hong Kong reached USD 1705 million, 572 million, 145 million, 167 million and 90 million respectively, accounting for 41.65%, 13.97%, 3.54%, 4.09% and 2.2% of the total amount. On reviewing the emerging dynamics of the major markets, the share of export to some Middle East countries has increased, while the ordering profile of other Middle East countries has reduced slightly over the same period of the previous Canton Fair. |
